The bigger duraflame fireplace heaters really don t do much so how effective is a lantern. The lanterns i received were stainless and i ordered bronze. Plugs into a standard outlet with the convenient six foot power cord. Nice as a flameless candle but that s a bit over the top just for a candle with some pebbles. I use this in my spa and it is so beautiful.
